I was nominated for a Liebster award

Hello ladies. How are you? I hope  you are all fine and dandy.
I have been nominated for the Liebster award twice now, by these 2 lovely ladies: Jessica of styles of summer and Jade of oh! you pretty things back in August. However, at the time, I was completely unable to do the post  because of personal reasons, I plan on answering all questions that they have both set for me. Wish me luck.

The rules:
1: You must link back to the person that nominated you
2: You must answer the 11 questions that were given to you by your nominee
3: You must pick 11 bloggers to be nominated for the award with under 200 followers
4: You must come up with 11 questions for the nominees to answer
5: You must go to your nominees blogs and notify them
These are the questions from Jade :D

1) What is your favourite thing about blogging?
The thing that I really enjoy about blogging is that I feel as though my opinion matters. Even if just 1 person reads what I write and either stops them from buying something that will not work for them or makes them think, oh wow, I really want to go out and try that, it really makes my day.
2) If you had £100 to spend on anything, what would you buy?
Oh my, how to spend that money. I would definitely buy more Clarins and Dior lipsticks, they are truly beautiful but they are expensive.
3) Have  you got an interesting fact about yourself?
I used to drive a fork lift truck :D
4) What is your go to piece for summer? Whether it be fashion, skin care, make up etc?
I would say that I wore No7 BB cream and MAC Vegas volts quite a bit last summer and I am looking forward to getting those bad boys out again.
5) If you had 1 wish what would it be?
I genuinely don't know how to answer this one as it is extremely tough. Maybe that i wish I was a little taller as I am only 5ft.
6) What is your pet peeve? If not, do you want any?
LOL This one is easy. Ignorance. I hate it. There is nothing worse than ignorance and it comes in all shapes and sizes.
7) If you could be any super hero, who would it be?
I would be super mum lol. Oh sorry, I forgot, I am already super mum hehehe
8) What is your favourite food?
Stir fries but no sea food thank you very much.
9) what is your guilty pleasure?
Deadly 60
10) If you had a time machine, where would you travel back to, and why?
I think this is going to be a little personal but I would go back to the day before my mum died just to tell her I loved her. I guess that can be for question 5 too x
I really loved answering your Questions Jade and thank you for nominating me and the SBJ blog for this award. xxxx
Now onto the questions from the gorgeous Jessica of Styles of Summers

1) If you could have dinner with 1 designer/celebrity, past or present, who would it be and why?
Now this is extremely difficult for me as I love Marylin Monroe, Dita Von Teese and Audrey Hepburn but to Choose 1? That is quite difficult. I think I would have to go with Audrey Hepburn as her style is so classic but she certainly wasn't scared of letting out her sense of humour.
2) Lipgloss or lipstick?
This is too easy for me. Lipstick. I am addicted.
3) Favourite holiday you have been on?
Some people will probably think I am barking mad but it has to be Wales for me. I have been going to Wales on camping holidays all of my life and I will continue to do so and hopefully pass on my love  for Wales down to my daughter.
4) Bright or nude nail polish?
I guess it depends on the season really. This past winter I have been loving the deep reds, Burgundy's, greys and blues but in spring and summer, I always go for pretty pastel shades but if I do wear nude nail polish, I have to have a little bit of glitter top coat xxx
5) Actual book or Kindle?
This is also another easy 1 for me. BOOKS!!! I a an old fashioned girl, I love to turn the pages, smell the book and I love the feel of the real thing in my hands. You can not replace that. Sorry x
6) What is your favourite song?
I have 2: Linkin park In the end and Green day when September ends.
7) Satchel or backpack?
Erm neither as I am not the biggest fan but if I had to choose, I would go for the back pack.
8)  If you could have a free subscription to any magazine, what would it be and why?
I think it would have to be Glamour magazine for me as it has a little bit of everything and sometimes, you even get free samples in there to try too. x
9) What is your favourite film and why?
Calamity Jane.  I just wanted to be her when I was growing up and yes, the film is even older than I am lol.
10) What is your favourite item you own and why?
I guess that would have to be my laptop as it has lead me to meet some amazing friends and I am eternally grateful for the friendships that I have made x

Some of those questions were a little harder to answer than I thought they would be but I managed to survive them. Thank you Jessica for nominating me too and I hope I have done you proud.
Now onto who I nominate:
My questions for you are:
1) What 3 beauty items could you not live without?
2) If you have 10 minutes to get ready and you could only do either your hair or your make up, which would it be and why?
3) What is in your coat pockets right now?
4) Drugstore or high end beauty and why?
5) What is your favourite wild animal and why?
6) What are the essentials in your make up bag?
7) If you could only use 1 of these 3 items, Concealer, mascara or a lip product, for the rest of your life. What would it be and why?
8) What is on your beauty wish list?
9) If you could do 1 illegal thing and you can get away with it, what would you do?
10) What is your biggest fear and your biggest achievement to date?

I would like to thank both Jade and Jessica for tagging me in this award, I think it is a fantastic idea and look forward to reading what answers I get to the questions I have asked.
Until the next time ladies, have fun and don't do anything I wouldn't do.

My swap with Michaela: part 3 Bath, misc and Bethany's surprise

Hiya gorgeous ladies, how are you all today?
I hope you are all well and are having a fantastic Friday.
This is going to be part 3 of my swap with the lovely Michaela. I really am extremely happy with this beautiful box and I'm sorry if I am laying it on thick on how much I love this swap box, its because I really do absolutely love this swap box and the lady who made it up
. Michaela even sent a little something for my daughter, Bethany, it is something that she always does. Bethany also loved her owl bag with all the goodies that Michaela put in. She did ask me if it was Christmas all over again lol. Anyway, onto the goodies:

As you can see from the pictures and the previous posts, Michaela has spoiled both me and Bethany rotten and I am truly grateful. If you would like to see what I sent her, please go to her post here, I truly hope she likes her box as much as i loved hers. I did truly enjoy spoiling Michaela as she really is that special person everyone should have in their lives. Thank you Michaela, you truly are 1 in a million.
I guess that is it for now ladies. Until the next time, don't do anything I wouldn't do.

My swap with Michaela part 2: Skincare

Hiya gorgeous ladies,
I hope you are all well?
Still with this lunatic weather, it's not great is it? I just hope we have a fantastic Spring and Summer, I am definitely ready for that, are you?
This is going to be part 2 of my swap with Michaela as I didn't think just cramming all of these beauties onto 1 page really does it any justice. Michaela really is 1 hell of a woman and deserves to be treated with the respect she deserves. Michaela truly knows me well as there are only 2 items in the entire swap that I wont keep and that is only because I actually already have them in my collection, everything else is fantastic x

As you can clearly see, this woman does an amazing swap box and I still haven't finished yet but that is for the next post. That is it for now ladies, until the next time, don't do anything I wouldn't do.

Swap with Michaela Part 1: make up

Hiya ladies, how are you all doing?
I hope you are all well.
In the SBJ group we do challenges, swaps and competitions on top of all of the other natter that goes on.  I have done a couple swap boxes with a 2 members of the admins in the group. This particular swap is with Michaela and boy oh boy has she done me proud.
I must say that I am completely blown away with this particular swap box and you will see why over the next 3 posts. This lady has gone above and beyond what you would expect in a swap box but she always does this and spoils you rotten. She did this at Xmas when I was having a dreadful time, she sent me 2 Xmas boxes to make me smile and you can see that here.
My friend Michaela has her own blog (here is the link) and I would appreciate it if you could go over and say hi, she really is a sweetheart and bakes the best darned cakes you will ever see.

So, what do you think? Have you ever done a swap with someone? And how did it go?
That is it for this post ladies, until the next time, don't do anything I wouldn't do.

Recent Elf haul

Hiya you gorgeous ladies, I hope you are all well?
I have to let you in on a secret that I have have but please don't let it go any further: I LOVE ELF make up. It is absolutely fantastic. As like other brands, they do have some hit and misses but for the price, you can overlook that and not mind so much if you do get something that isn't going to be OK for you for whatever reason.
There are 2 reasons for this post: 1) the fact that Elf have a 50% off at the minute, and yes, that includes the current sale. It has a £30 spend but once you put in the code, it takes it down to £15 and that qualifies your order for the free delivery that Elf are running for the whole of February. The 50% ends on Monday so be quick if you see something that you like. They are spoiling us with the amount of offers they have been doing recently, so get on over and see what catches your eye. link is here.
2) The haul I have just  recently received after taking advantage of the 50% off and I only ordered on Thursday night and I received this morning. So what did I buy? Here you go:

So, that is what I bought from the 50% off, is there anything that caught your eye or has there been something you have on your wish list that you just have to get? I am tempted by another order but I must restrain myself lol.
That is it for this now ladies. Until the next time, don't do anything I wouldn't do.

A cheeky sales haul with a little help from London

 Hiya everyone,
I hope you are all OK with this ridiculous weather we are having. My thoughts are going out to everyone who is suffering with the floods, I genuinely cant imagine what you must be going through or feeling. I hope that help comes to you soon.
After such a serious chat I am going onto a very self indulgent post for you: a sort of haul. My local Boots and Superdrug are extremely tiny and we don't have a great selection of beauty products and the sale section is virtually non existent. However, 1 of the gorgeous ladies in the SBJ group, Nardine, offered to shop the sales in her local shops as she is in London. This is what she bought and the Urban Decay palette is from her own collection.

I paid £30 including postage for this gorgeous lot. How amazing is Nardine? We call her the queen of swaps as she always, always goes above and beyond what is expected from a swap. An absolutely amazing lady. Thank you again Nardine, you really did make my day xxx

Anyway, that is it for this post so I am off to get wet and pick up my little girl from school. Until the next time, don't do anything I wouldn't do.

Elf tinted lip balm in Cranberry.

Hiya everyone, I hope you are all well?
I've not been to good of late and I haven't really wanted to do my make up but I have as I look absolutely terrible without it. So, I have been wearing the bare minimum and oh my, have I been loving the Elf tinted lip balm in Cranberry. At first, I actually wasn't that keen to be honest as it was a little too thick I felt but I found myself putting it on continuously, day in and day out.

Onto the serious business of what I actually think of it, well, I love the scent but I feel it smells more like strawberries than cranberry but hey, that does not bother me in the slightest. The consistency is thick but I did get used to that as it feels so lovely and and creamy on the lips. It gives off enough colour to make the lips look interesting and not scary. I love this so much that I have bought another 1 in nude and if you want to try it for yourself you can form the Elf website here. That is it for this post ladies, so don't do anything I wouldn't do and have fun.

Bodyshop & Illamasqua Haul

Hello ladies,
I hope you are all well?
Isn't the weather absolutely fantastic? Hmmmm I don't know about you but I am seriously looking forward to Spring, just to remember what the sun looks like. Oh to be able to walk out of the door and not be cold and wet, how nice would that be?
Anyway, onto the real seriousness of beauty. My small Bodyshop and Illamasqua haul. Both shops were having a sale and I couldn't not buy from them could I?
OH my is everything beautiful.

Just how beautiful do these gorgeous items look? I nearly drooled when I saw the Illamasqua blusher, it is that beautiful. So, have you been taking advantage of the recent sales? What did you get? I would love to see.
Anyway, I think that is it for this post. Have fun and don't do anything I wouldn't do.
