Skin care: night time edition part 2

Hello ladies, how are we all doing? It is blooming freezing here but at least the sun is out and boy have I missed that sun. I can feel the springtime coming up fast, I am looking forward to those days out in the Lake District calling my name hehehe.

Anyway, back to the post I am chatting about today, my nighttime skin care routine.As you will already know from part 1, I have extremely dry/sensitive skin with sensitive eyes which causes no end of problems with finding the right skincare. So here is what I am currently using with my thoughts, reviews and marks out of 5 for you.

Night time skincare:

Soap & Glory Peaches & clean: I really really hate the smell of this but love how it leaves my skin so soft after cleaning my face with it. I do have a back up that was sent to me in a swap I did last year but I am unsure whether I would buy this again or not, I hate the smell that much 3/5

Weleda night cream: OH MY GOD do I love this or what? LOVE LOVE LOVE 10/5

Athena facial wipes: these are for those lazy days and I think we all have those done we hehehe. I am not a fan of the scent but they are an ok face wipe and I would repurchase them. 3/5

Kleenex eye make up remover cloths: LOVE these, so soft, the scent isn't unbearable and have repurchased these a number of times 4/5

Bodyshop Aloe toner: (when I am not using this 1 I use either Boots on brand cucumber toner or the Bodyshop cucumber toner) I do like this, it is very gentle on my sensitive skin but hardy enough to remove any last traces of dirt. 4/5

Dr Nick Lowe eye gel:  I don't mind it as a hydrating eye cream but to say it prevents dark circles and helps reduce fine lines is a tad too far so I will only be giving this a 2/5 for the misleading quotes.
Elf lip balm tint: I say to myself that i don't like this product and yet I find myself using this all of the time and currently placed another order with Elf and bought the nude 1 of this, so I get the feeling I actually like it. 4/5

Recent Liverpool Haul featuring MAC, Bodyshop, Clarins, Bobbi Brown, No7 and Primark x

Hello ladies,

I hope  you are all well and sticking to your new years resolutions. I personally didn't make any resolutions as I never stick to them, so why make them ;)

Anyhoo. I receive a Boots gift card and I decided to go to Liverpool City Centre for some serious retail therapy, and it was much needed  hehehe. I took full advantage of the sales and I had fun swatching the new Urban Decay Naked 3 as it was 1 of the items I thought I really needed in my life since it came out but alas, that was not going to be something I would buy as it is just too glittery for me. The shades however, are seriously stunning and if I can find a palette with shades that are very similar, I will be investing in them :D

I visited MAC, Boots, Debenhams and Primark in Liverpool and got some great bargains.

Recent Elf Haul

Hello ladies,

I hope you are all well and are not too down with the amazing weather we are currently having. I know how you all feel, it is driving me mad and it is too damn cold grrrrrrr.

Enough about our fantastic weather and onto what I really want to share with you, my recent Elf haul. I must say that I do love Elf for the variety, quality and the price tag too. If you do put an order in with Elf, be aware that they always have offers on and are currently having an up to 70% off sale and have recently added more to it link here. Now onto what I actually bought hehehe.

 I did have a slight issue with the 100 piece marble eyeshadow palette in that it had been opened and swatched, however, the lovely Elf customer services sent out a brand new 1 after seeing pictures of the palette without me having to send the old palette back. The blusher & eyeshadow palette I highly recommend as the pigmentation in the blushers are just fantastic, the eyeshadow pigmentation is just ok but they are still more than ok. The 1 that I am extremely disappointed in is the moisturising lipstick in Rosy-go-round, the pigmentation isn't fantastic and it drags against your lips. For me, it is a no to repurchasing but please don't let that put you off trying their other lipsticks as they are fantastic. I especially love the mineral lipsticks and own a few myself.

Christmas and January Hauls & surprise christmas box.

Hello ladies,
 I know it has been a little while since the last post but I am sure you will understand with how manic Christmas can be. 

So, enough about the misery that can be Christmas and on to what you really want to see (well, i seriously hope so anyway). This will be a seriously picture heavy post and i really hope you don't mind that but i have been a very busy little lady.

A dear friend knew i was having an extremely hard time in my personal life with it being a year since my mum passed away, being ill and my daughter being extremely ill with her asthma, she sent me a wonderful hamper and surprise Xmas box for me and Bethany to enjoy over Christmas.
Believe me when I say that I cried when I opened it, see for yourself what she sent. A truly selfless and amazing lady who I am proud to call friend. CRAZY CHRISTMAS NAILS

CRAZY CHRISTMAS NAILS

Hiya ladies, its been a long time since I have done a post for you but that has been because of some personal issues but I'm back now in full force. I hope you are well and ready, if not ready, almost ready for Christmas.
As you can see, i have enough Christmas cheer in my nail polish collection to possibly see me through entire month of December. However, deciding which 1 to wear on each given day can be a nightmare, so i let Bethany choose what i wore. And even my little girl wanted in on the action too.


I wore each nail polish starting with Revlon in Silver Screen on my thumb, nails inc Park Crescent then the Barry m  319 foil effects and continued that way until all of my nails were done. I did 2 coats with all the nail polish though the only 1 that really needed was the Revlon polish though I did do 2 coats of polish on each nail to be sure.

.I wore the Nails inc Devonshire street and Barry M 140 silver glitter on my accent fingers but which is which? Can you tell?

This is what my daughter decided to wear on her nails, its just a basic red glitter polish. What are you wearing today? And what are you going to wear on christmas day?

Face Of The Day & reshop that stash

Hiya ladies, I hope you are all well?

For this post, I am going to try something a little different for you today but please leave a comment if it isnt very interesting. I do have a decent size make up collection and sadly, some of it i either forget about or just plain and simple forget about but i have recently re jigged everything and I have some sort of order so that i can find what i want. Shall I just crack on and show you what i have used, the before & after pictures too?
